About Pastor
Joel Nichols
Joel Nichols is a visionary leader, creative thinker, and entrepreneur who serves as
Lead Pastor of Redeemed Church, a growing and dynamic ministry located in Memphis, TN.
Acknowledging his call into the ministry in 2003, Joel served in various leadership roles within the church, (youth group, men’s ministry, Sunday school), and eventually moved into the role of Assistant Pastor. Joel was formally ordained and installed as Pastor of Redeemed Church in 2006, and after 25 years, he left “corporate America” in January 2013 and began full-time work in ministry as Lead Pastor at Redeemed.
A life-long Memphian, Joel began his professional career in advertising and marketing in the promotions department of WMC-TV5. After writing and producing several promotional spots, Joel moved on to work in advertising, marketing, & PR at a local advertising agency and for the World Basketball League’s Memphis Rockers. In 1991, Joel went to work for a global medical device company, where he served in various marketing, communications, and advertising capacities in over 20-years with the company.

In addition to serving as Lead Pastor of Redeemed, Joel established his own company in 2006 called LifeSpeak, Inc. which provides public speaking development services to anyone who is interested in enhancing their presentation and communication skills. Joel, along with wife Elizabeth, also founded the Renewal Center, a non-profit organization designed to provide public speaking training, graphic design skills, and professional skills training to under-served students in the Whitehaven area.

Joel holds a BA in Advertising and Communications from the University of Memphis, an MBA from Union University. Celebrating 20 years of marriage, Joel and Elizabeth Nichols are parents to two children - Jennifer and Charles.
Known for his practical approach to the Bible, Joel encourages individuals to achieve new levels of success by pursuing a personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ, and by applying Biblical principles to all aspects of everyday life.

An inspiration and mentor to women everywhere, Elizabeth Nichols has always had a passion for life and for others that is contagious.
Working alongside her husband, Pastor Joel Nichols, Elizabeth serves as a Lead Pastor of Redeemed Church, in Memphis, Tennessee. Under Pastor Joel and Elizabeth’s leadership, the church has grown in every area of ministry. Opening a new sanctuary in 2013, Redeemed continues to become one of the most dynamic churches in the Memphis and Whitehaven area.

As a Lead Pastor, Elizabeth is committed to helping church members and people in the local community realize their highest potential in Christ. In addition to her ministry at Redeemed, Elizabeth also owns her jewelry design and image consulting business Elizabeth Nichols Jewelry. A graduate of LeMoyne-Owen College, Elizabeth is also a trained color-analysis specialist certified by the Fashion Academy of Memphis.

Throughout her career, Elizabeth has co-owned a clothing boutique, coordinated many fashion events, and traveled throughout Europe. Today, Elizabeth serves as personal fashion consultant for numerous career women in the community, and provides custom-designed jewelry and image consulting services to ladies of all ages at different seminars and events throughout the city.

While finding the call of ministry and the duty of owning her own business to be very rewarding, Elizabeth will quickly tell you that over the course of her 20-year marriage, her most fulfilling responsibility is that of a wife and mother. In addition to being a lead pastor and entrepreneur, Elizabeth gets the most joy out of raising her two children, Jennifer and Charles.
